Maximr Cardinal

Maxime began his career in innovative departments at EDF where he spent 8 years in several positions in France and abroad before joining Polytechnique Ventures.

Maxime began working on Sustainable City matters, supporting local authorities and public entities in their energy transition plans. From district energy optimization to solar PV self-consumption, and electric vehicle integration, he has been in charge of aggregating various knowledge across EDF group to bring expertise to internal and external clients. He then joined the international division to participate in EDF growth in the Off Grid activity. Direct consequence of the CAP 2030 strategic plan, Maxime actively participated in the growth of this new business line closing investments in startups (SunCulture in Kenya, Standard MicroGrid in Zambia) and setting up new Joint-Ventures with BBOXX in Kenya, and SunCulture in Togo and Ivory Coast to extend the group’s portfolio.

Maxime is an Alumni of Ecole Polytechnique (X2010)
and holds an Advanced Master in energy optimization from Mines ParisTech (MS OSE).
